What Exactly Will Happen There?
Individual Counseling, Family Counseling, Group Therapy, Psychosocial Lectures, Spirituality, On-Site Work Assignments, Academics, Recreation, Free Time, Computer Time, Positive Peer Interaction, and 12 Step Philosophies.
First Week
The residents spend their first week resting, eating, and becoming acclimated to their new environment. Meeting with other boys in the program and collecting thoughts for the huge change to come! Although participation is limited during this time, attendance in groups, lectures, and recreation is encouraged. (No chores are required for the first week)
In order to truly grow into the man you know your son can be, it is absolutely vital that he learn to let go of past trauma, mistakes, and those old injustices he’ll never be able to change.
Our team of highly skilled Mentors and Counselors will accommodate the release of old “hurts” and aid in the rebuilding of a once lost teenage boy.

Breakfast/Goals/Meditation
As the second week begins, the resident is usually ready to begin his academics, and therefore is assigned a ‘top ‘o the line’, Vista Premium Laptop Computer.
He will also begin the rest of the program in full force by waking with the other boys for breakfast, meditation and goals.
School ends at lunch time each day, the residents enjoy great food from our in house kitchen manager (he loves out-doing himself with every meal), and then a quick clean up and off to Lecture.

Lecture/Accountability
Immediately after Lecture, the boys get to work out, play basketball, ping pong, air hockey, jogging, video games, ad simply relax for a 2 hours.
Since recreation is such an integral part of developing a complete man, we strongly encourage each resident to exercise for at least an hour a day before partaking in the table games.
Once recreation is over, the boys are allowed to shower (hopefully they will), grab a quick snack and then attend accountability group. This gives the boys an opportunity to address their goals from breakfast, measure progress for the day- where they’ve been slipping and how to get back on track for the day. This is time of day in which each boy learns how to make their words have meaning.
Every activity is designed to instill new problem solving skills

Group Therapy/Private Therapy
This is where the real work happens. We’re only as sick as our secrets! The residents gather for intensive and insightful group topics. The boys are encouraged to share from their own experiences- I share with you examples from actual groups;
“what it felt like when I stole money from my mom”
“How do we let go of the guilt and shame from failing school”
In the beginning, many boys are certainly reluctant to share much in groups, so, they will always have many opportunities to share privately with their counselor.
